We heard yesterday that Telia customers might be getting an
MMS app for their iPhones, and that it was being developed by the carrier themselves, with plans to launch in the next two months. Well, today we've gotten word that Mobispine is likely the developer of said application, and that they have plans to offer it to carriers all over planet Earth. Mobispine says that the app will be branded to each particular operator, and distributed via Apple's App Store, but we don't know when all of this is going to go down. Now we'd just like to meet the caveman owner of the iPhone pictured above who needed to be told (on November 15th!) that "Obama will be our next president."
[Thanks, Mike]

There are lots of neat mobile VoIP services out in the market – two of my favourites are Truphone and DeFi mobile because of the way they embed themselves into a Nokia S60 handset, provide an additional phone number and just work where there’s WiFi. However one provider that I’ve been taking another look at [...]
The Boy Genius Report has word of a new Nokia phone (code name: WAHOO) that’s slated to hit AT&T some time in the future. It looks just like the ill-fated N76, Nokia’s answer to the ridiculousness that was the RAZR.
Specs are fairly sparse right now, but it looks like the flip is a quad-band connected [...]
According to a recent survey from the NTC, local telco from the Philippines, SUN Cellular, experiences a drop call rate of close to 20%. To quote:
We’re in the era of 3G data connectivity with the big players - SMART and Globe slugging it out to see which one holds the better service. In fact the [...]
Several notable points came to light in the press briefing. The first of which was the handset will also be known as the LG Prada phone, the exact same moniker the first phone went under.
Not LG Prada II, or LG Prada: The Next Generation. In fact nothing to separate it from the first phone which [...]
There’s two semi-new firmware updates for the Nokia E66 and E71 smartphones, as well as a general update to the Nokia Software Updater app. Changes include “performance improvements” for the camera (viewfinder orientation), Mail for Exchange synchonization, and browsing. You also get the latest versions of Mail for Exchange and Nokia Maps.
Herre’s hoping Nokia fixed [...]
